The story
Ideas Additives is a formulator’s supplier, through and through. The company develops and manufactures specialty additives for the people who make industrial lubricants, metalworking fluids, and specialty chemical products — extreme pressure, corrosion protection, lubricity, emulsification, penetration. If a formulation needs it, it’s on our shelves or within reach of our blending floor.
Every formulation comes with its own problems: performance that isn’t there yet, a compatibility issue, stability that won’t hold, something nobody has asked for before. That’s the part we like. We work directly with each customer to find the right chemistry — a product off the shelf, an adjusted package, or something built from scratch — and once a formulation is approved, Harvey holds it, batch after batch, year after year.
The people are why it works. Many of our team have spent more than twenty years in this industry, and the relationships — with customers and with suppliers — run just as deep. It’s the reason the phone gets answered by someone who knows the chemistry, and the reason your reorder matches your qualification sample.
